Canada’s atlantic province of Nova Scotia (NS) has invited express entry candidates to apply for a provincial nomination for Canada permanent residence through its Labour Market Priorities Stream under Nova Scotia Provincial Nominee Program (NSPN) on April 27, 2020.
The latest draw was held on April 29 and especially French speaking candidates with English language abilities have been targeted. Those having selected French as their first official language in their federal express entry profile and have Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) score of 8 or higher have been selected.
Selected candiates also had to have a CLB score of at least 6 or higher in English and a bachelor’s degree as well.
Letters of Interests (LOI) have been sent by the Province to those selected to apply for a provincial nomination for permanent residence application to Canada.
In order to be selected candidates were also required to have a valid federal express entry number and be placed into the candidate pool.
NS did not reveal the number of candidates who were issued letters of interest and the minimum score of selected candidates.
Candidates who are registered in the federal express entry pool are awarded scores (CRS) for factors such as age, work experience, education and language abilities.
Candidates received a provincial nomination from any province earns additional 600 points toward their CRS score, effectively guaranteeing an invitation to apply for Canadian permanent residence.
If you have received a letter of interest in the latest draw you have 60 days to submit a complete application to NSNP.
Through its the Labour Market Priorities Stream, NSNP can search Canada’s express entry pool for eligibile candidates who matches the province’s labour market needs.
