3343 CEC and 557 PNP Candidates Invited in Latest Express Entry Draws

Express entry candidates with Canadian work or study experience were selected to apply for permanent residency in federal Express Entry draws on July 23 and July 22.

In the last Express Entry draws, Canada only invited Canadian Experience Class (CEC) candidates with Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score as low as 445 and Provincial Nominee Class (PNP) applicants with CRS score as low as 687.

3,343 ITAs (Invitation to Apply) were issued to CEC applicants and 557 ITAs were issued to PNP applicants.

IRCC issued total of 3.900 invitations in the last week.

Since Coronavirus outbreak and its measures put in place on March 18, there have been 16 draws by the government of Canada and in stead of skilled workers, Canada has been targeting PNP and Canada Experience Class (CEC) applicants.

Serving as Canada’s main source of skilled foreign workers, the federal Express Entry system manages the three economic immigration categories namely the Federal Skilled Worker Class (FSWC), Federal Skilled Trade Class (FSTC) and Canada Experience Class (CEC).

Candidates who want to immigrate to Canada are entered into the Express Entry pool where they are ranked based on their Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) scores.

CRS score is based on factors including age, education, skilled work experience and proficiency in English and French Language among others.
