Saskatchewan Holds Two Immigration Draws in October 2020
The Province of Saskatchewan held two immigration draws on October 7 and October 21.
The results of two draws held by the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP) were unveiled by the province.
On 21 October total of 618 immigration invitations are issued to candidates registered under SINP’s Express Entry and Occupations in-Demand categories. 340 invitations are issued for express entry candidates and remaining 278 invitations are issued to occupations in-demand candidates.
On 7 October total of 455 immigration invitations are issued to candidates registered under SINP’s express entry categories.
This year total of 3.040 immigration invitations are issued for express entry category and 3.018 invitations are issued for occupations in-demand category.
Total of 6.082 invitations are issued in year of 2020 by SINP.
In order to be selected by SINP’s most categories, candidates first have to registered at SINP by creating profile of expression of interest.
Through EOI system, SINP is choosing the candidates that have the most potential to economically establish in the province. Candidates need to show their commitment to building their life in the Province by their work experience, education level, language knowledge, age and their connections to the province.
All candidates registered at EOI system are awarded points out of 100 according to their factors including work experience, education, language, age and their ties with the province. The highest scoring candidates are being selected and issued an invitation to apply for provincial nomination from Saskatchewan.
Serving as Canada’s main source of skilled foreign workers, the federal Express Entry system manages the three economic immigration categories namely the Federal Skilled Worker Class (FSWC), Federal Skilled Trade Class (FSTC) and Canada Experience Class (CEC).
If a candidate is nominated from the province of Saskatchewan then the candidate is awarded an additional 600 points toward their score. This extra 600 points would guarantee that they will be invited to apply for permanent resident visa in a next federal express entry draw.
At the occupation in demand category, there are some occupations listed by the Province and those having at least one-year work experience in one of the occupations in the list can apply under this category.
