Another 4,200 Candidates Received ITAs in September
Canada held its second Express Entry draw on September 16 and issued another 4,200 invitations (ITA) to apply for Canadian permanent residence to candidates.
Federal skilled worker category (FSWP) applicants were includedin this draw as well. The latest draw was the fourth all program draws since March 18 held by Canada immigration department (IRCC).
In the government’s latest draw, the minimum comprehensive ranking system (CRS) score was 472. It is three points less then the previous all-program draw held on September 2, 2020.
Serving as Canada’s main source of skilled foreign workers, the federal Express Entry system manages the three economic immigration categories namely the Federal Skilled Worker Class (FSWC), Federal Skilled Trade Class (FSTC) and Canada Experience Class (CEC).
Candidates who want to immigrate to Canada are entered into the Express Entry pool where they are ranked based on their Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) scores.
CRS score is based on factors including age, education, skilled work experience and proficiency in English and French Language among others.
If someone is nominated from any province in Canada, he is awarded an additional 600 points on top of his original human capital score in federal express entry system.
As of September 14, total of 144,018 candidates have been registered in the candidates’ pool in Express Entry.
Government of Canada aims to process permanent residence applications of those selected within six months.
