3559 Candidates Received ITAs in Latest Express Entry Draw
Canada Experience Class (CEC) applicants and candidates with provincial nominations were selected to apply for permanent residency in the federal Express Entry draw on June 11.
In the latest Express Entry draw total of 3.559 invitations (ITA) are issued to CEC and PNP candidates.
For CEC applicants, the minimum score (CRS) to be selected was 437 which is three points lower that CEC draw on May 28.
341 of ITAs were issued for provincial nominee applicants who were nominated through the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP). The minimum CRS score was 743 for PNP program applicants.
Serving as Canada’s main source of skilled foreign workers, the federal Express Entry system manages the three economic immigration categories namely the Federal Skilled Worker Class (FSWC), Federal Skilled Trade Class (FSTC) and Canada Experience Class (CEC).
Candidates who want to immigrate to Canada are entered into the Express Entry pool where they are ranked based on their Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) scores.
CRS score is based on factors including age, education, skilled work experience and proficiency in English and French Language among others.
If someone is nominated from any province in Canada, he is awarded an additional 600 points on top of his original human capital score in federal express entry system.
Since Coronavirus outbreak and its measures put in place on March 18, this is the 13
th
draw by the government of Canada. Instead of skilled workers, Canada has been targeting PNP and Canada Experience Class (CEC) applicants since corona virus outbreak.
Some of the reasons why skilled workers have not been selected since March 4, was due to coronavirus outbreak and its measures put in place. When selected, candidates may not have medical examinations and could not get police certificates on time to comlete their applications as invited candidates received ITAs are expected to complete their permanent residence applications within 60.
As of today, a total of 46,000 candidates have been invoted to apply for immigration visa in 2020.
